Some things to consider during your visit:

1) They offer lighter bows for those who find the heavier ones too difficult to manage. For those new to archery, handling the heavier bows may take some getting used to so do not be afraid to ask for a lighter one if you find your arms are dying before the lesson is over.

2) Right-handed vs. left-handed bows are given based on a quick determination of your dominant eye. It may feel awkward at first having to handle a left-handed bow when you are right-handed but trust in the process. Eye dominance is an important factor when it comes to shooting accuracy.

3) Archery lessons are open to ages 8+. Do keep in mind that participants younger than 10 years old cannot join the group lessons and will need to have a private lesson.

Disclosure: We received an Initiation to Recurve Archery lesson in exchange for our coverage.
