About:
The Queens of Egypt exhibition, produced by Pointe-à-Callière in partnership with Turin's Museo Egizio, gives visitors a rare opportunity to fully comprehend the grandeur of Egyptian civilization and its women of power during the New Kingdom. In the second part of this exhibition, visitors can travel to the world of the dead where The Book of the Dead, tools and materials needed for mummification, artifacts which accompany the diseased into the afterlife, and a mummy which forms the heart of the exhibit, can be viewed on display.
Some kids' activities and exhibitions include:
- For the kids who are enthusiasts of video games and virtual experiences, Ubisoft Montréal and the team of Assassin's Creed Origins, team up with Pointe-à-Callière to create immersive spaces using custom-designed videos and soundtracks designed to enhance sections of the exhibition.
- The Pointe-à-Callière museum also offers a separate pirate exhibition where kids are encouraged to test themselves against the rough and tumble mariners who plied the waves of the St. Lawrence River and see how they measure up through various challenges and activities.
